I had a recent opportunity to visit Cincinnati with my wife. I didn’t know much about this city and it wasn’t on my radar at all. Turns out, it was a pretty cool town.
Amazing art murals on every street, delicious eats, Art Deco architecture, historic buildings and snow! Who can ask for anything more?
This mural is my favorite. I am amazed at this masterpiece every time I look at it. When you stand below it, you feel like all the gorgeous fruits and veggies are about to fall on your head. I was told that budding student artists paint the murals. Wow!
My first meal at this cozy French cafe. I have never eaten a croissant with a knife and fork. Ham and Swiss covered with bechamel sauce. All gone!
Ok, if you know me well enough, you know I love a good meatball. Well, this meatball was as big as a softball covered with arrabiata sauce and ricotta on the top. Let’s just say, “Oh my!” I ordered it for dessert and it hit the spot.
En route to Atlanta, we discovered the Colonel Sanders KFC cafe and museum in Kentucky. How about that? A real treat. We saw the kitchen where the secret recipe was discovered, old menus, receipts and other neat stuff. A bucket of KFC original recipe on a Sunday afternoon brings back fond memories for me. My Mom and Dad loved KFC and this was a special dinner treat for us when Mom took a break from cooking. Yummy!
A delicious way to end our fun road trip! Go somewhere new and unexpected and see what you can discover.
