We decided to spend our Easter Sunday at the nearby duck pond. Instead of hunting for eggs, we explored nature. Picture this. An osprey swooping in from high above and beautifully gliding on the surface of the water eager to spear fish. Distant baby osprey chicks chirping from way up high in the trees. You can just imagine their mouths wide open anxiously waiting for mom to feed them. Ducks splashing, diving, flapping, thrashing about during their preening time. Somewhat annoying but definitely interesting. Duck families with adorable fluffy ducklings going about their day looking for food. Little turtle heads peaking up to see what’s going on every once in awhile. Egrets and ibises swooping in to give a little variety to the scenery. It was a memorable day of enjoying nature and its many surprises. Spring is full of new life, energy and a reminder of hope and survival.

How wonderful to be able to do that! So glad that y’all could get out and be a part of nature. Is the ibis the one with the curved beak? Love them. Not a fan of whatever kind of duck that is with the red beak/bill – they are probably the ugliest ducks on God’s green earth. Love y’all so much & miss you – can’t wait til this virus mess is over. Take care.

So much fun! Yes the ibis are the pretty white ones. Ugly ducks but adorable babies. Keep well.
