Fear can be good

Posted on November 26, 2019 by Laureen2014

It’s always easier on the way back!   2019 is coming to an end and my brain and balance keep getting better everyday.  I have more confidence to challenge myself without the fear of falling.   So far I have been lucky. Fear is a real thing.  Try to conquer your fears one at a time.  It feels good! [wpvideo sd4OUJtL]

I Spy a Purple Sheep Monkey

Posted on November 17, 2019 by Laureen2014

Yesterday, a new sheep species was found in the Pisgah National Forest in Brevard, NC.  Look closely and you will see her.  Surprisingly, the purple sheep acts like a monkey which is a fascinating new discovery.  Scientists are perplexed but suspect that the sheep was raised by a monkey in the forest.  Any thoughts? If you haven’t played the I Spy game, it’s time you do so.  You never know what you’ll see!

Get on up!

Posted on November 7, 2019 by Laureen2014

We went to hear Cameron play the bass and I just couldn’t help myself.  Gotta get up and move to the groove.  So smooth! I’m happy to make those paddle turns once again.  Dancing makes me feel good! Get on up and do what you like to do.  Right Now!   [wpvideo W2ozWgSl]

Leaves do Change Colors

Posted on October 29, 2019 by Laureen2014

We haven’t seen leaves change colors in quite some time.  I forgot how much I missed the vibrant yellows and reds.  I was determined to see them way up high, so I trekked up the mountain with my man.  It was tough, but I made it to the top.   I could hear the angels!  Let’s just say, going down was much easier. Push hard and the reward is well worth it.

Throwing Axes is Fun!

Posted on October 5, 2019 by Laureen2014

My new activity is axe throwing.  First in Toronto, second in Hendersonville, NC.  Where to next?  It’s sweaty, exhausting and empowering at the same time.  Did I mention fun? This video is dedicated to my friends who have and had breast cancer.  You are brave survivors.  Let’s go throw an axe together sometime. As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  1 in 8 American women will get breast cancer.   Wear your pink in honor of these women and join me in throwing an axe at cancer. Toronto Fun

Posted on September 13, 2019 by Laureen2014

I watch the TV series called “Kim’s Convenience” on Netflix and just had to go to Toronto.   So we did, and visited the actual store.  What an amazing, culturally-diverse clean city with wonderful ethnic food!  I blended in for a change, and Sean was the odd man out.   He loved it! On the first day, we helped a lost Italian non-English speaking woman get home.  Really. We got help from the police to take her home and we enjoyed our first Toronto lunch at a  great Portuguese restaurant.  What a great way to start the week!  We ended

A Perfect Day at the Zoo

Posted on August 15, 2019 by Laureen2014

Our visit to the Tampa Zoo was a special day for all!   Great friends, Willis (formally known as Willow), and very active animals.  A perfect day full of fun, sweat, friendship, and yes, a double scoop ice cream for Willow, from Uncle Sean.  Camp Dunedin is great! Have you ever seen an elephant swim?  We have.  Watch and see with awe! Truly spectacular! And look below – manatees blowing kisses at you! [wpvideo TAWso9fx]   [wpvideo YNnxPrUs]
